Michelle Pfeiffer Says Becoming a Grandmother Has Changed How She Wants to Live Her Life 

Michelle Pfeiffer says stepping into the role of a grandmother has quietly, but profoundly, reshaped the way she wants to spend her time.

The 67-year-old actress who shares two children and now one grandchild with her husband, writer-producer David E. Kelley reflected on this new chapter in a recent conversation, saying she feels “truly blessed” both personally and professionally. Her daughter, Claudia, 32, welcomed a baby in 2024, and Pfeiffer admits the experience has shifted her perspective in ways she didn’t fully expect.

“I am feeling very blessed for the opportunities that are presenting themselves to me and loving the work,” she told Fox News Digital. “I’ve been working with incredible cast members in all three projects I’ve done recently great directors, great material.”

But even with strong career momentum, Pfeiffer said the arrival of her first grandchild has nudged her toward a slower, more intentional pace.

She revealed that she is planning to take most of the upcoming year off a rare move for the actress, who has been steadily working again after returning to Hollywood at the encouragement of her children.

“I just want my choices and the way I spend my time whatever time I have left to be meaningful,” she said, noting that family has always guided her biggest decisions.

Pfeiffer also shares a son, John, 31, with Kelley. She famously stepped back from acting years ago to raise her children, a decision she has never regretted. In 2023, she shared that it was actually her kids who urged her to return to the screen, reminding her of the joy she found in storytelling and performance.
